The brilliant blade is beautifully preserved, showing only the minimal in-out wear, completely free of any scratches, nicks, rust or pitting. The gilt finish on all the metal parts is still bright with only some minor blemishes and light tarnish here and there, none of it detractive. The push-button lock functions smoothly.
