CONDISH= ==CASE== the shape and gold-filled aspect make this model distinctly an officer issue/accessory. This 14K white gold-filled cushion is indeed a special subtle design, in superb condition. Crystal is a mint replacement, not correct regarding shape, as the original was a flat unit. Once this crystal is a NOS correct one, it will indeed be a full 100% original as-issued historical document. The caseback has light scratches, and a small dimple. Case measures 37MM top to bottom, 30MM across, minus crisp crown. ==DIAL== a gorgeous-looking 100% original dial, background to superb original full-lumed hands. ==MOVEMENT== wow! this high-calibre 17 Jewel USA movement is another reason this is model # is THE AVIGO, the most elusive of the three model of wrist watch. It has the elusive 42-hour mainspring! Runs, sets/winds well, keeps decent time for a watch that surely hasn't been "serviced" in maybe decades. I love it! Here is more to the historical aspect/provenance of this watch.... pilot-issue #11701 engraved on the clasp, and a beautiful airplane/wings/propeller gold applied medal/badge/insignia. First of all, this is more than the sought-after and elusive Armbrust puzzle-link bracelet, the examples that do show themselves from time to time are nickel or chrome-plated brass. **This one is absolutely scarce as it is 12k white gold-filled.and of course is the original to the issue/presentation of the watch, to an aviator/officer/pilot. .....light/expected wear, some through at small edge areas.
